Peerless Auto

Discover the birth of the automobile industry in our Peerless Auto Exhibit. The automobile industry began in large part because of the increase in iron mining and steel production and this gave rise to the emergence of numerous garages and shops that catered to automotive repair and maintenance. One such business, The Peerless Auto Top & Body Company, was founded in Virginia in 1914 by Jacob J. Usan, this exhibit is a partial replica of this garage.
