All aboard the Minnesota Discovery Center’s Trolley! Climb aboard and experience a journey back in time. Take a ride past the Pillsbury Pit and over to our Glen location in this authentic vehicle.
Once you arrive at the Glen Location, you can explore several historic buildings and antique mining equipment.
- Train Depot: Step off the trolley and into the Train Depot. Originally located in Wilpen, MN., the train depot is the first thing you will see when you arrive at the Glen Location.
- Boarding House: Relive the old days and look through our fully furnished Hill’s Finn Boarding House. A historic building previously located in Buhl, it was once a boarding house home to miners.
- Location House: Enter a traditional mining location house and explore what life was like living on a Mining Location.
- Bunk House: Get a glimpse into the life of a railroad worker. Buildings like this housed the large workforce that laid track for the Iron Range railroad companies.
- Mining Equipment: Take an up close and personal look inside some antique mining equipment.
