Iron Range History Players
June, July, August 2010
The Iron Range History Players are actors who bring to life characters from the history of northeastern Minnesota. A 20 minute interactive presentation will take place Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30, 12:30 and 2:30 in the lower level "hub" area of the museum.
The History Players include:
Cuyler Adams: Prospector that discovered the Cuyuna Range in 1882
Elizabeth Gurley Flynn: Speaker and activist that helped organize the miner’s strikes of 1907 and 1916
Matti Pelto: A Finnish immigrant that worked in an underground mine from 1908 to 1914
Laurel Sherman: A rural school teacher that taught from 1910 through 1920 in Northern Minnesota
