We're bringing back the Chisholm Orators!
A twelve-member Iron Range team comprised of men and women aged 18+ will take the field at Minnesota Discovery Center this summer. Today's matchup is a doubleheader - the first game starts at 12pm and the second at 2pm.
Four Summer Games Scheduled:
Saturday, June 6 - Home, doubleheader (12pm start)
Saturday, July 18 - @ Stillwater, MN
Saturday, August 8 - Home (2pm start)
These vintage base ball "matches" are played according to rules established after the 1857 nine inning rule took effect and prior to the 1864 rule change that changes the one-bound out rule. A stealing rule, and occasionally other rules and conventions were agreed to prior to a match.
