Come join us! It'll be a blast from the past!
“Can you dig it?” – Experience the thrill of archaeology by digging for real artifacts! Kids will get to learn the basics of excavation, mapping, and artifact documentation.
Prehistoric designs – Discover how archaeologists learn about the past through prehistoric pottery designs. Children will get to try their hand at making some of the same decorations!
Bison hunt – Learn how to hunt big game by using an atlatl, or prehistoric spear thrower, and take your aim at our bison target!
Flint knapping – Get to see how stone tools are made during a flint knapping demonstration by Alan Anderson.
